Why Doesn't the Website Say if the Visa was 'Approved' or 'Denied'?

For strict reasons of confidentiality and protection of diplomatic data, BLS International never publishes the favorable or unfavorable result of a visa on its web portal.

The envelope with your passport comes sealed and sealed from the Spanish Consulate. The external visa company is strictly prohibited from opening the envelope or knowing the consular decision. You will only know if your visa has been granted by personally opening the envelope and checking if your passport contains the visa sticker (hologram security label).

Key Practical Tips

What the team recommends before you file anything:

  • If your file has been in 'Processing at Mission' for more than 30 days without changes, check your spam folder. It is very likely that the Consulate has sent you a 'Request for Correction' with a period of 10 days to provide an additional document.
  • Don't buy non-refundable airline tickets based on the status changing to 'Processed'. Wait until you have the physical passport endorsed in your hands.

Required Documentation Checklist

  1. Exact tracking reference number (e.gBOG/XXXXXX/XXXX/XX) and date of birth.
  2. Daily review of the email registered in the consular application.
  3. Saved digital copy of all documents delivered at the window.
  4. Identification of the courier guide number in case of home delivery.
  5. Original delivery receipt and valid identification document for collection.
